摘要

This research aims at analyzing the increasing of learning activity, learning achievement, and student responses upon science learning by using contextual learning approach (Contextual Teaching and Learning). This research is a classroom action research with three cycles of activity. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation and evaluation, and reflection. The subjects were fourth grade students of SD No. 3 Pegayaman in the academic year 2012/2013 as many as 23 people. Data of students active learning was collected by observation method and data of students\u27 learning achievement was collected by test method, and data of student response was collected by questioning method. Data was analyzed using descriptive quantitative method. The results of research show that: (1) the application of contextual learning approach can improve students science learning activity. The average of student activity cycle I, II and III, respectively moderately, active, active, and active. (2) The application of contextual learning approach can improve science achievement which show by the percentage of students learning achievement of cycle I, II and III respectively 70,82 , 76,20, and 80,43. (3) The application of contextual learning approach received a positive response from students. This is evident from the average response obtained 93.35 positive criteria.
